Meet Dr. Cherése N. Godwin

CEO of The Caribbean Literature Alliance

Dr. Cherése Novelle Godwin is the CEO of the Caribbean Literature Alliance and the co-owner of the historic Wingfield Manor Estate, the first settlement in Saint Kitts. An esteemed social impact expert and leader in social entrepreneurship, programs, policy, and wellness, Dr. Godwin is dedicated to fostering Caribbean literature and preserving the region’s cultural heritage.


With over 16 years of executive experience, Dr. Godwin is renowned for her expertise in guiding large organizations, governments, and social enterprises toward sustainable development and community-driven solutions. Her work spans policy innovation, data analytics, strategic program development, and wellness advocacy, making her a sought-after voice in the social impact space. She has served as an advisor to complex organizations, advised national entities, and led initiatives to empower communities through robust program design and strategic policy frameworks.


As an international public speaker, UNESCO World Humanities honoree, and inductee into the University of Pennsylvania Social Work Hall of Fame, Dr. Godwin brings a powerful vision to the Caribbean Literature Alliance. Under her leadership, the Alliance champions Caribbean voices by providing resources, mentorship, and global exposure to authors and media creators. At the heart of her mission is a commitment to documenting and sharing the Caribbean's literary and cultural narratives with the world, ensuring that its rich heritage and diverse stories continue to inspire and educate future generations.
